Who picks up and who shows up
The people you deal with between the first ring and the last shovel of backfill, and which of them works for whom.
Who answers the phone?
At any hour, an automated assistant. It asks for your name, a callback number, the address and what the house is doing, and it knows the difference between a hairline crack and water coming through a wall. A person then calls you back, within minutes when water is coming in or a wall is moving, within the hour otherwise. Ask for a human at any point and you get one.
Who comes out?
A technician from an independent foundation contractor working your part of Madison, Morgan or Limestone County. They arrive with a rotating laser, a crack gauge, a moisture meter and a flashlight, and they spend about an hour measuring before any figure is mentioned. The written findings and any price are left with you before they drive off.
Who does the repair?
The same contractor's crew: pier installers who record depth and pressure on every pier, waterproofing hands who lay drain tile and set sumps, and carpenters for sistered joists and new sills under a pier-and-beam house. For a residential job of $10,000 or more, Alabama requires that contractor to hold a residential home builder's licence from the Home Builders Licensure Board. You may ask for the number.
Who handles the permit and the dig notice?
The contractor files with City of Huntsville Building Services, or the building office of the town the house is in, before underpinning, replacing piers, lifting a slab or anchoring a wall, and calls Alabama 811 at least two business days before trenching. We make sure it was done; they do the filing.
Who is responsible if something goes wrong?

Who runs the website?
